I know we probably wouldn't normally use this (it's 10w40 semi-synthetic), but it's cheap. What do we think?

We think you ought to forget it and put 15w/40 mineral oil in our wbxs :ok

been struggling to find mineral oil local garages and factors only seem to have semi synthetic
1983 1.9 dg automatic

. . . or try Wilkinson's if there's one near you:
Wilko 15w-40 mineral oil

and change the oil and filter regularly.

Good price...might buy some for my 2002 Beetle. :ok although I can buy Quantum Silver from VW TPS a few quid cheaper.

Wilkinsons also good for the right gearbox oil.
