strange little part cant quite work out where it came from or id with part number ....being : 191 915 505 any ideals folks...cheers:)

My best guess is that its some kind of light diffuser/backlight for a VW logo; but can't think on what or where.

Battery vent union for several models but not t3.

191 part numbers are MKII Golf.
915 are electrical items related to the battery and battery mountings.
It is indeed a catch can to catch the condensate released from a battery when charging.
