diesel injectors
is it possible to torque down your own injectors? i mean split them in half replace seal and then torque them.?

Yes.. But you should be checking and adjusting the pop pressure. If they are old or if you are replacing the nozzles.
The pressure is stamped on the injector body. 130 bar for 1.6D, 155 bar for all 1.6TD including RA/SB motors and 150 bar for 1.9TD AAZ.
You can't do the pressure setting at home since the right equipment is required. And if by seals you mean the heat shields in the head then you need to undo the injectors when the head is still warm otherwise there is risk of cracking the head specially if you are not carefully while undoing them and you apply force at the wrong angel. It might sound scary but its not!
