Modifying LT mirror arms - Anyone done it?

Post by Cruz »

Anyone got any pictures of a fitted LT mirror arm that has been shortened so it fits square?

I've seen the one in the wiki but that's a standard LT mirror arm where the mirror doesn't sit square

i have done it , no pics tho.

prob is the lt arm needs modifying in 2 places.

there are 3/4 types of lt mirror arms , a couple of different bases and a couple of different arms.

some early arms are steel so easy to cut/weld , however most later ones are alluminium so need specialist welding

Cheers Billy

I've read that a few people have knocked out the pin (on later arm) and cut about 60mm off the arm then redrilled the pin hole to make the sit straight
