Awning interior....

Post by PBY »

Does anyone on here have any experience of lining their awning floor with wood or any other material to enable longer stays?

What sort of wooden floor did you have in mind, a couple of square yards of T&G maybe?

Nowadays, most camp sites frown on the use of groundsheets because it damages the grass. Some ban the use of groundsheets altogether, while others require you to use the environmentally friendly type with holes in it, to allow the grass to grow. :)

Someone told me they use pallets and then put down a wooden floor on top of this, this is for the next year that I will be there and the owner does not mind what I do. I have also heard people putting down ground sheets and them lino...?
