Central Locking

Post by The Bishop »

I've taken my door cards off to insulate the doors and noticed that the door locks and 4 or 5 wires coming out of them. These lead through the door panel and then end abruptly - they are not connected to anything.

What does this mean?

Surely they didn't fit central locking mechanisims to all vans? What would I need to do to reinstate central locking? Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

The wiring is relatively straightforward.
I retrofitted the CL system in my bus.
From memory - the blue, green and white wires from each locking servo should be connected together.
one of the front door servos, normally the drivers door, should be provided with an earth (brown wire) and a +12v permanent supply (Black??).

Have the servos have the connecting rods that link them to the locks?

Take a look at this thread, it has a wiring diagram - https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... l+locking+

The search mechanism is a wonderful thing.
