Propex Compact 1600 Problem

Post by ropeman23 »

Hi All

Fired the propex up today to check everything was running ok for the colder weather, and guess what it doesn't work.... Grrrr

It will fire up and run ok and heat the van up to temperature. Then it won't re-start when the temperature drops, the yellow light on the thermostat clicks back on, but nothing from the heater. The control box has both lights on at this point indicating "low voltage" and "Burner On" and there is a very quiet buzzing / humming from the heater. If flick the switch on the thermostat to just the fan, then the fan will start. Then if I flick the switch back to heat and fan it fires up and the whole process starts over.

So far I have:
1. Checked battery voltage - no problems.
2. Vacuumed the exhaust inlet etc.
3. Run it on Butane and Propane

Any help would be great. Ta.
