Mine used to off (AAZ) after a good thrash down the motorway, normally when coming off at a junction, foot off the gas. Blipped the throttle and it stopped. I then fitted a oil cooler and haven't heard it since.....
So I presumed it was maybe the oil getting to hot and thinning?

I mean an added on one, extra rad at the front. Like this http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... Oil+cooler" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Well worth it if you have a diesel, has really decreased the running temps, you have a petrol though....

Melted oil switch wires shorting on the block will also set it off intermittently. Mine were in a right state where they'd strayed too near the exhaust...
