rear handbrake cable replacement

hey,

the back left side handbrake cable on my van has snapped, how do I go about fixing this any where would I get the cable from? is it an easy job? could I do it myself? cheers!!

do you have a GSF near you if not A N Other motor factor should be able to sort you out failing that your nearest Vw dealers. to change isn't that difficlut slacken off the nut at the spreader plate on the front cable till you can remove the rear cable lug(lhside) remove brake drum and detach cable it should then just be a case of remove old cable and replace with new connect ends up and readjust
