T25 mirrors

Post by campermunkey »

While driving our van 'Rusty' high winds on journey and we struggled with both door mirrors, being blown out of position while driving. The nearside one is very loose on the ball joint part. Any quick fixes for that area to make them useable, without replacing both? many thanks, :?

Remove them and tighten the 10mm nut on the underside of the ball. BEcareful though they are prone to being rusty and snapping off.

Also, roughen up the ball area - extra friction helps no end.

I bought brand new ones from GSF a while ago and they turned in at 30MPH. Darned hard to tighten when they are in your hand though, I had to ask a guy for help. It was a good job I'd bought and fitted them on my way to Bristol Volksfest and there were plenty of willing vounteers around to assist.
