Pre purchase Vehicle Inspection

Hi there

I am a non technically minded newbie who is looking to purchase a 1988 T25 Autosleeper. It has a 1.9 petrol engine with FSH. Due to being rather too impulsive, I am really looking for a mechanic or someone who knows a thing or 2 about bodywork/engine before parting with my very hard earnt cash. I have tried the usual suspects (eg AA etc) who of course wont inspect a vechile this age. The vehcile is currently in the Worthing, W. Sussex area but can be bought up to W. London/Thames Valley area.
