Headlights O/S & N/S

Post by centro »

Is Nearside the passenger side on a RHD vehicle? Also, how can you tell if a headlamp (Hella H4) is N/S or O/S ? and what is the diffence?

Cheers

Nearside is left hand side in the UK. That's the passenger side if you are RHD.

Circular headlights should be the same each side.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

Easiest way to remember is it "Nearside - near curb". Another one like that is with battery connections - "Remove earth lead first, replace last." I'm sure I got that from one of those Readers Digest repair manuals. Either way it stuck. :D
