Nothing really. If you have to leave it on the van, bung a couple of short anti-tamper self-tapping screws in each end of the rail and water proof where they enter the roof (if they do).
I suppose you could crush both ends of the channel but that would bugger you up if you wanted to remove it in the future............

If you crush the ends in with pliers it isnt that hard to re shape it back to get the awning off, tho not a 30 second job so might stop the little angles legging it with the awning, thats how mines secured!

i havnt ever seen one of these but is their not a way you could attatch something to the bracket past the end of the awning and just put a hole in it to slip a padlock through each end. please tell me to shut up if that makes no sense what so ever

the c rail it too small to do that really. the only ones I have ever heard of being robbed are the f35/45 ones (in a metal box) which are bolted on!!!!

Re: fiamma caravanstore awning - security
Hi,
I have put bolts thro the c channel at each end with 2 nuts locked together on the inside of my hi top.
Fiamma do a c channel filler/lock for the channel ends but this can be removed with a screwdriver so not that secure.

Is it not just easier to remove it and store it in the house until you need it?
I have a box type awning and wondered why fiamma developed an expensive prodcut that can be stolen so easily. Ditto the bike racks

Re: fiamma caravanstore awning - security
have a look at the f35 T25 gutter brackets, they have a c section welded on them. Might work, if the awning can support itself in the middle (or you can fabricate something?)
