Headlight Delay

Hi,

When I switch the headlights on, on my 1990 T25 there is a delay of around 10- 15 seconds before the lights come on! Before I delve into the electrics has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

check the plug on the back of the switch
green corrosion could be the problem
number 1590 i think!!!!
