Is my T25 interior unique - Anyone seen this layout before?

Post by yacouz »

Dear all,

My name is Yas; my girlfriend and I have just bought our first campervan. We went for a 1984 1.6 turbodieselT25 which originally comes from from Germany (lhd). We're ever so happy about it, just tried it in the Peak District for the first time and it's wonderful :ok

Anyway...Ever since we bought it (and it was only a month ago) I seem to have caught the T25 passion, I spend loads of my spare time reading on these lovely camper vans. Here's my issue: I've seen loads and loads of T25 original interiors online, and have not seen a single one that has the layout as in ours. The thing is that it doesn't look unprofessional or handmade or anything like that. So just wondering if I bought a extincting animal, and if yes is that a good thing or a bad thing? :?:

I've attached a photo of the interior, please let me know what you think.

The picture was taken from the sliding door. So basically the rock n roll bed and table are just behind the driver's seat (as it's a LHD) and the kitchen is right at the back, an electrolux fridge situated under the work surface to the right of the gaz hod and sink.

Many thanks everyone!

I'm guessing it's a 'Weekender'

Different but a bit swish :-)

Thanks for the response.

Do you know if it would be easy to replace some or all of the interior with parts from a model which has a different layout?

Also do you have any idea on where I can find parts from this model? Some of the kitchen doors are not in a great state!

Cheers

Doors can be replaced by a competent joiner but hinges, edge trims and the like are available for other vans on the secondhand market. Would need closer pictures to determine what style they are though.
