Major oil leak

Post by Baldwelder »

Hi all, My 16td JX is a bit of a smoker but on sunday after out 1st overnight and on the return leg(only about 50 miles) the engine dumped about 2 liters of oil. I thought it was burning it as it stank us out but as you can see from the piccy it was burning ON the exhaust not from it.

and is now all over the back door and bumper but at least that`s a couple of places rust-proofed for a while

I`ve run it for about 20 min tonight watching for a leak not a drop fell :?
so i`ve added a few more piccies to see if there are any suggestions

I have checked inside the turbo but it`s clean as a whistle - stupid saying as whistles are full of goss :oops

Seems quite clean from the top

Did you just check it on tickover? Try getting it on boost and see if that makes any difference :ok
And check your rocker cover gasket, just a thought. :D
