Oil switch duff? Test?

Post by meggles »

Just put new/used pcb in dash. Hallelujah we have warning lights, except for oil light. I used to test oil switches by putting the lead terminal to earth. I did this on the van and the oil light came on. Is this a certain sign that the oil switch is duff? Thanks in advance.
