Instrument Lights
Anybody know why me instrument lights have stopped working all the warning lights are still on but no clock lights is it just a fuse or something more ta

Watch the bulbholder mounts on the top of the instrument pack; I've just broken the clips off one of mine. They're only 76p each from VW, but they're on back-order with a 10-day turnaround 
Sounds more likely in your case to be a fuse, but just check that the central illumination bulb (above the LED mount) is tightly home, as I think it provides the earth connection for the other two on top of the clocks. Post-'86 models have a 10A fuse above the main fusebox which controls the instrument lighting; take that out and clean it, or replace it if it's blown.
