do i have a missing thermostat....

Post by 16vmini »

well after driving it for nearly a year i think i might ....i guess the only way to know for sure is to check ?

basically my temp needle sits just out the the first little section ( no where near half ) .. even drops a bit if driving fast ...50+
then when i hit traffic need goes all the way to the middle .. never really past it yet .. and i cant hear a electric fan kick in .. allthough the bus is not quiet

so basically my needle is up and down all the time ! which i feel is a sign of no thermostat....
i guess there are no other checks i can do .. i got a temp gun , so might check some hose temps.

and brickwerks only sell one stat

http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... ory_id=110" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

so i guess that will fit all desiels ?

Sounds about right to me, I only go over halfway if I have problems or a steep hill and in 9 years I have only heard the fan cut in 4 times.
