fridge exhaust cover

Post by braceuself »

hi,my cupboards are on the passenger side of van on the same side as the sliding door.my fridge is facing towards the front of the van(on your immediate right as you enter the sliding door).the problem i have is that i dont know where i can put the fridge exhaust as the cover on the outside would be in the way of the sliding door.is there a vent cover thats flush with the outside panel of the van? cheers.(hope that made sense)

i put it was on the left on the original post but meant it was on the immediate right as im a bit backward.so the message above may make more sense

Check the installation instructions - the length of exhaust required for that looks as though it would more than the permitted length. (SAFETY)
The rise may well be inadequate also. (if the exhaust is standard - on the left)

It seems to me to be an impossible position for a gas fridge to be placed.

If it is a gas fridge. Then there is no way it can be vented in that position..

it can be angled about 45 degrees to come out just under window.van it came out of had the exhaust going right back to the engine intake vent at the back

Check that the length isn't over the manufacturer's maximum extension - I am sure that it will be.
Whoever did that previous exhaust to the rear vent was an out and out idiot. (Another nominee for the Darwin Awards in the making).
The manufacturer gives a maximum length for a very good reason.
