Interior furniture boards- delivery

Post by jknight »

Hi all,
Have had a quick search through the forum but to no avail! We're trying to order some light weight furniture boards to make our units. The only websites/ suppliers we can find online don't delved the boards- it's collection only. Anyone know of a retailer that delivers?
Thanks in advance
Jo

Hi,
Some of these might be of use.
O'Leary Motorhomes, Rainbow Conversions, Reimo, Autocraft, C A K Tanks and the Self Build Motorcaravan Club (SBMCC)
You need to look for a Vohringer Plywood supplier, try JAC Campers. They deliver.
You also might find useful Haynes manuals---Build your own Motorcaravan and The Motorcaravan Manual. Both contain lists of suppliers of all sorts of things.
Hope that helps.

i recently bought some boards from morland http://www.morland-uk.com/products/ligh ... re-boards/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

they will deliver for £60 if you order 3 board. I ended up picking them up as only wanted two boards.

Thanks for your advice everyone. We're going to order them through gee wagons in Oswestry- they were really helpful and not too far from us so we can collect.
Thanks again,
Jo

Hi oldie but goodie. I bookmarked a post I found on SBMCC regarding a lightweight ply supplier a while ago and now I cant access it. Any idea why this would be? This is the page I've been trying to look at http://sbmcc.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=24319" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Shame because thr prices were really reasonable.

Looks like the post doesn't exist anymore. Was it in the the tech problems or the recommended suppliers?

I cant remember which section it was in. Someone was recommending a ply supplier in the midlands who's prices seemed very reasonable so I bookmarked it.
I suppose ideally I'd like vohringer type formica coated but it seems a bit too expensive.

To be honest if I was rebuilding my interior furniture I would consider the lightweight ply, we have a local supplier near us. They also do formica sheets in any colour you care to mention, so I would make up me own furniture boards by laminating myself, totally original and totally unique.
Also totally useless information to you I know but hey, I have a few spare minutes until the coffee brews and then I should really get on with some housework before the wife & kids get home from holiday :D

Might give someone else in the same boat some ideas though :ok If you go down my route let me know how you got on.

(Do you like the way I'm doing this, sowing the seeds, getting someone else do be the guinea pig, if it all goes pear shaped don't blame me :D )
