Camping near Bath

Post by Andrew Evers »

Hey there,
We're heading down to Cornwall at the start of August with the family and we're planning on breaking the trip up with a couple of nights in Bath. I've trawled the forum and looked at the wild camping spots and there doesn't seem to be any mention of anywhere. Does anyone know a good site (cheap) or spot. We don't mind wild camping and at the mo, we're just going to have to pull up on the side of a road. Unfortunately the pop top up and 2 little kids don't make us too inconspicuous!! Thanks Andrew

I live just North of Bath (approximately 8 miles away) We have a small paddock you are welcome to use if you want. We are touring in France the last week in July and should be back by 3rd August. I am happy for you to use it even if we are not there. Chipping Sodbury, a small market town is about 2 miles away. Loads of pubs and a few shops. There is also a nice local pub with good food 200yds up the road.
