Advice on stove fitting

Just replaced the two burner + grill stove in the van. I am told that the stove must have ventilation space all round but mine fits snugly into a wooden compartment lined with metal. This is a picture of the original stove in its place:

What does anyone reckon, is it safe?

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.....................people don't leave hobs and grills unattended anyway
