Now, I know that in a Wetsfalia California that the interior lights / radio, run off the main battery vs. leisure battery....

....I also know that there is a mod you can do to change this.

However, my question is, when you're on electirc-hook-up, is this still the same? i.e. if you leave the interior lights on, will you flatten the car battery?

No..not on yours...the BBB (Buzzing Black Box) original Wesfalia charger (situated under the left side of the R&R seat) charges both leisure and starter batteries WHEN on hookup.
It isn't that powerful (6amps I believe) so as long as the 'discharge' is less the starter battery will be fine.
