Need help finding a part....

Post by nickster72 »

Hello everyone,

I've removed the anti roll bar from my 1980 T25, the bar is in good condition, the bushes will need to be replaced no worries there but the D shaped clamp which holds the anti roll bar on one side is badly corroded and has a large rust hole in it.

I've looked at all the usual places for parts (that I know of) JK, Brickwerks, VW Heritage but I've not been able to find a replacement.

To make it harder for myself I do not know the part number, and the board attachment quota has been reached (whatever that means) so I can't upload a picture :(

Can anyone help me to locate a replacement part ? I could put the other one back as a temporary measure but no I know its bad it'll play on my mind until its replaced.

I'm sure someone out there in T25 Land has the knowledge :)

Many thanks everyone, any suggestions welcome
I asked for a car, I got a computer. How's that for being born under a bad sign?

Can't help with the part but if you save your images with photobucket online then click on the IMG code on the relevant picture so it copies then simply paste onto your thread. Thought I would explain as it took me ages to discover and it's so easy. Jon

part number is 251 411 063 A they have gone obsolete from VW, post in the wanted section for a breaker to find you one. Be aware there are I think 2 thicknesses of pipe 21 and 19 mm although I think this part is the same for both just the rubber bush changes. (which you can get from Brickwerks.) they are listed on ekta as "pipe clips"
