Not that old chestnut !! Anyway I've just replaced a head seal and am not looking forward to doing the same soon if poss. so I followed VW rec. to use 50/50 mix red a/freeze dist/deionised water and good old Halfords sell deionised water for £3.99 for 5ltr bonus :ok ( mv )

How much did you pay for your Red coolant and from where? I was going to go into CAF and get 20 litres of Comma's own as bulk is always cheaper in the long run.

i just bought 10l of G12++ for £47 :shock: luckily company van is VW too

is g12 needed on an oil burner? thought that the could run on any type of anti freeze?

Good quality ordinary stuff is fine.. just change it every 3 years... (if it hasnt needed something before that.. :wink:

Unless all the cooling system is mint, you'll be rather anoyed when the expensive stuff gets dumped on the floor.. Just my opinion tho... :ok

(unless you happen to have a works vehicle to book it to of course.. :roll: )
