Hot start relay?

Post by Hasis »

Has anyone ever heard of a relay that can be placed on the run between the ignition and the starter in order to boost the power to the starter motor? Apparently such a thing has been used to circumvent the age old CU hot starting problem [obviously as long as lack of oomph in old wiring is the problem and not timing]

Any ideas who might sell such a thing? I'm getting fed up with feeling the need to pray every time I turn the key after filling up on a run [that's only when I've got an operational clutch of course].

plus postage!

If you feel the need I'm more than prepared for you to call me a naive mug for my failure to shop around?

and in 3...2...1...

NB. JK-pricing related lesson learned I reckon [but £5.22 was the cheapest I found when I did look]
