Gas hob query

Gas hob query
tested my fellows hob/grill/sink combo tonight and when the hob is lit the flames are blue at the base but about 5 inches high a bit wild is there anything i can do to make them blue and smaller as dont want a fire in the van lol

Where did you connect the gas up to? Did you connect it straight to the hob or did it go via the hob dial? If you went straight to the hob there would have been no way to regulate the flame.
Also what pressure regulator are you using? that might have an effect.

i can turn it down but on full power the flames just look way to wild
the gas is connected via a snap on regulator (butane) rubber hose then on to the inlet for the gas
