Can any one recommend me a company to wax oil my bus in the midlands. Preferably recommendations from people who have had there bus done...

do it yourself
use dinitol not waxoyl
to do correctly i would advise removing some items like fuel expansion tanks
good access to all interior panels m, this may mean interior removal on a camper!
and it will need a good steam clean then a drying session.

I can get it done by a mate's brother who has his own land rover repair business for £120. Not sure what type of wax he uses though and includes a steam clean/drying session. The waxoil only companies fill me with more confidence though!

interesting cos you will probably need £75 of wax.
i bought £140 worth (dinitrol) and can prob just do 2 vans.
theres a good day /2 days work if done correctly
like i said you really need to remove some of the door cards to gain access to some panels.
cab doors need stripping as does tailgate and slider.
interesting to see if this is all done for the quote you have

Out of interest, what's the thinking on how often to get it redone?
Mine's all tidy at the mo (everyone who's looked underneath is impressed), so I think I should do her proud and maintain the 'goo' layer.

I assume it's a mates rate charge. I must say you've put up a good case for using Dinitrol. Every one says waxoil get it wax oiled bla bla bla.

i have used both in the past
waxoyl dries and craxks, not sure if it leaves a layer thats water proof
dinitrol is stated as non craking , remains rubbery and the cavity wax will stay soft enough that it will continue to seep into cracks/ crevises and has an anti rust agent.
first time using the stuff , so far it looks good and already would not use waxoyl again over dinitrol

Feeling guilty about not having done mine now.
especially as I used to give commercials the treatment back in the day.
The only thing I can really remember as a tip is that we heated the tubs and the chassis
prior to application, to make it really flow.
