Are rear stub axles Syncro specific and are the handed?
Thanks

Re: Stub axle
I'm very new to Syncros but I believe the answer to both questions is "no". I've had one stub axle (axle shaft?) out of my syncro because of a mullered CV joint and it seemed the same as my 2wd stub axle and also totally symmetrical therefore unlikely to be sided. Also the Bently doesn't differentiate between the outer rear drive train on a 2wd or syncro.
Like I said though, I'd wait until one of the really experienced persons on here replies.
Hope this helps though.

Re: Stub axle
Rears are all the same and you can use 2wd driveshafts too (less likely to be knackered), assuming you haven't gone for the big lift.

Re: Stub axle
The back end of a 14" Syncro is the same as a 2WD van with the exception of anything to do with the springs or dampers and nothing is handed with the exception of the trailing arm.
16" Syncros are a different thing altogether.

And engine bars.
