painting/covering 70's moonraker interior

Post by aston »

Hello all, I have a very early T25, the van is a Devon Moonraker with a SuperViking space saver poptop roof, The interior is all origional, ghastly dark brown (almost) corduroy carpet lining with dark brown countertop and brown doors over a beige background. O yes and bright orrange curtains>>>>>
Has anyone covered thier interior with more modern finnish? Paint or cover up, what works and what doesn't as I'd like to bring my interior into the 21st century, Cheers all and see you on the road

b&q do a sticky back film with all sorts of designs/plain colours. one of them is a metre wide. you would have to make sure the kitchen surface was perfect as you would see any blemishes but you could fill and sand first. you would also have to make sure it was spotless with no dust as that would show through as well. reckon you could do a devon kitchen for under £20 and would look great if you took your time with it.
