Temp' gauge compatability.

Post by Dezzie McScroat »

Just bought a T25 panel van, with a 1.9 tdi conversion. (from a Passat) The temperature gauge doesn't work, but the guy who sold it says that the 1.9 sender and stuff, isn't compatable with the T25 temp' gauge. Is there a way around this ? Any help would be grateful.

its a 1y but i havent needed to change the sender, i just got used to the different needle position. i wouldnt be surprised if the engine runs at a different temp anyway? heat senders just screw out and back in, there are a few on lump and around there(probably more than your original motor).
