FAQ buying a Syncro. HELP?
Hi all.
I'm looking for some super swift info.
I am going to look at a Syncro today. In fact at 5pm.
I know the front "skidpan" is missing and it's running on Landrover wheels (Freelander?) is this a good thing?
I have a basic knowlede of T25 2WD but is there any bodywork specific to the syncro? Suspension and transmission is obviously different
To cut a long story short I need an idiots guide please?

Thanks forthat. Just what I was after
Had a quick look without the owner there earlier in the week. Going for a drive tonight.
IS the front skid pan available of fthe shelf and is it common to fit landrover wheels??? Can't remember what year it is but how do I know if it's a 14 or 16 incher?

Re: FAQ buying a Syncro. HELP?
front bash plate is not a off the shelf thing, but shouldn't be too hard to find.
I've never heard of landrover wheels being fitted,(doesn't mean people don't) do you mean tyres?
16" syncros are quite easy to tell, left hand drive only, bigger discs and drums, some more info here http://www.busman.be/pagina24.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Quite a lot of subtle differences, like the wheel arches.
Where is the one your looking at? Do you have a link to the ad?

Re: FAQ buying a Syncro. HELP?
Landrover wheels will not fit a Syncro. The PCD on a Landrover Freelander wheel is 114mm (up to 2006 and 108mm from 2006) and a Syncro wheel is 112mm. This means they have been forced on. This is not good as God only knows what damage has been done elsewhere. Walk !!

Thunk from front passanger side going over big bumps
very, very noisy engine. 2.1 petrol
Broke down. Electrical issue. Suspect alternator or dodgy wireing.
