bar code behind bumper

found a sticker with a bar code and two long series of numbers top and bottom of sticker,on the near side of van,any ideas what they were for or what they mean??,thanks

the top row of numbers are 940084=3RILH107415
the bottom row are 00901R10002100401ASBM0001,anyone know?? the plate had an amber plastic film on it

940084 is a lawnmower part (Briggs & Stratton) but reckon that may be red herring.
However the 'LH' in the suffix may indicate left-hand so could well be a sticker from a replaced panel. It isn't VW anyway.

Do you mean behing the end of the bumper? I found one too - you can just see it in this photo but obviously it's been sprayed over. It was yellow if I remember correctly...................

this is the blighter-

vw fitment when at the factory.

i have seen also a pressed steel version in times past!

Why is there a spanner on the bumper bolt? One good fart and the entire bumper would fall off anyway!

It's the build sticker so they know what bits to fit on the track. You should recognise part of the top number.
