Brake fluid reservoir pin thingy

Post by centro »

When I remove the plastic dash bit to access the brake fluid top-up point – is there supposed to be a thin plastic rod poking up? I can press it down with ease and it rises up again. I dont remember seeing it before. :ok

Low fluid warning light switch...and seal lol...brake fluid should be changed every two years regardless of mileage as the fluid is hygroscopic (atracts water)...just 3% water contamination in the brake fluid lowers it's boiling point 100 degrees C , not good when you are coming down hills in Derbyshire and your brakes are getting hot!

I have had it changed 4 times in as many months due to 4 new master cylinders being fitted. Let's hope this latest one us the last!
