T25 1.6td Turbo Charger Problems HELP PLEASE!!

I have just been told that the turbo charger on our 1.6td 1990 T25 California has a big turbo charger problem.

Apparently the turbo charger its self is a kkk k14 6000, does any body know if this unit is easy to get hold of, was it used on the golf 1.6td or any other vw's?

Would it be best to have the unit reconditioned or simply find another?

Any help would be great, thanks, and also thanks to all who replied to our post about having our Atlantic stolen last year, it never turned up after it vanished without trace.

Rebuild is always the best option with a new oil feed pipe for safety. What's the problem with it?
