A R S E! aka Anyone got a Syncro spring I can have?

Post by syncropatrick »

Van is with Dave Futbus for various lift toys going on. He's found a broken pigtail on a rear spring. Anyone got a spring I can get to Devon by Thursday? Van is a 16" if that matters, with the Belgium plate saying it can load to 4500Kg so that may mean beefier springs again. S'pose I can squirt some readies your way in return.

What with a broken tophat as well as a pigtail gone on the same side a liftkit would not be a good idea I reckon.

Not what we needed to find on stripping down, but all metal work will be fixed by tomorrow, just need a replacement spring.

We have had a couple of vans in recently where everything looks good until the "pooh" is scrapped away to find holes in the tophats. Brickwerks do a replacement for these that require a small amount of welding to make good as new. Patricks van has the plate originally rivited in the door shut offside stating that the van has a gross towing of 4500kg. Does anyone have info on what these plates refer to in what was upgraded ie springs and shocks? We need one spring or a pair if not the same as stated on the plate.

mine says 4500kg as well. just looked on etka seems to say there is heavy duty shocks for uprated suspension, for springs there seems to be just the one part number.
maybe the 4500kg is a 16" thing?
