Jumps out of first sometimes

Post by cumbriankeith »

Had some work done on gearbox last week (so guide pin has been disturbed)...
Jumps out of first sometimes when trundling along in a queue for instance. Could this be that it still needs a bit of adjustment or is it the box itself?

so does mine....generally fine when pulling....jumps when rolling with clutch disengaged.

didn't know what to put it down to, other than age, and character!

did the rear bush plate go on the front of the gearbox mounting plate ? If fitted at the rear then the pressure on the boot can be enough to pull it out of gear
