ecu for 2.1 injection auto transmission

i need to find out if the ecu thats in my bus is for an auto transmission, it seems to be a replacement one, the code on it is 0280 000 501 and the other code is 025 906 021, but there nornally is a letter e or f after the last code to distinguish one from the other any ideas please help as my bus stalls at low revs and the ecu seems to be the problem i think after reading lots of info on ecu's
