diff locks?

my 2.1 westy pop dosen't have diff locks but does have aircon....was the option "one or tother"?? back in the day , am i at a serious disadvantage without?? is it possible/realistic to add??.......... :?
in too deep to quit now....

Depends if you want to off road or not? If you do you won't get to far. You can get them fitted, normally as part of a gearbox/front diff rebuild (as they have to come apart). Then you have to source all the vacuum related stuff, so will work out quite expensive.
Lots of german vans don't have diff locks, as they were options over there. UK was standard fitment

Air con, no diff locks, could it be a US import, does it have or has it ever had an underslung ebber? If you post a picture of the outside of it showing the left hand side I could tell you, all the ones I have seen so far have had front and rear lockers, but that isnt to say they were all fitted with them.

as far a i can make out it started out as a german bus imported by rcc in wales but i's sure california comes into the mix somewhere in its life...its a 2.1 dj now but after electrical problems a while ago it once was an mv!. whats an ebber?

American Vanagons also have a reflector on the rear side panel too.

naa...the heater is under the seat....ita a TRAUMA..gas powered. looks like a sixties hair drier!!!

Another clue would be a left hand drive with a mph speedo, although not conclusive by any means.

there is a little hand engraved ali plate at the bottom of the B panel with a date and some other numbers on it ?????

sadly the air com only holds its gas for the winter.........never works when you would want it....bit like the rest of it really :rofl
