Not while ive had it anyway!
ive got the charge warning led out as it doesnt charge and the charge light wasnt working
is there any way of checking the led or do i just get a new one?
and where do i get one from?

It would not surprise me to learn, that such components might be designated by VW, to be non-replaceable components, necessitating a complete instrument panel replacement! Let us hope that this worst-case scenario is inapplicable, but from what I have learned of modern VAG Group vehicles, I cannot be sure either way.

as a workaround If the wire from the charge light connecting to the alternater was connected to 12v would it charge?
