Power cables

Hi all, another slight delay.

I've just received the power cables from ebay but the problem is they don't fit my van or the mains adapter. My van has three pins with the fattest pin being directly above the fitting groove. The cables I've received have three in total with two either side of the groove. I would have thought these would be universal. Have I bought european cables or is my van's adapter out of date?

I'll assume you mean hook up cable?

I would send them back and get to a caravan accessory shop.

Have you bought a proper mains leisure hookup cable OR a 110volt commercial extension lead?
The first is normally an orange cable with a blue/white plug, the second often uses a yellow cable with an all white plug?.....they are not interchangable.

Yep yellow. Now binned. Leisure batter doesn't charge from alternator so wondering whether hooking up would charge it.

Is it wired to charge from the alternator.. with a split charge relay?

Do you have a "zig" unit or equivalent to charge from mains power?
