I thought i had an oil leak due to a worn out pulley oil seal but it turns out its leaking from the oil gallery plug behind the pulley on the right half of the case (looking from behind).
Any ideas how to stop this leak?
Cheers.

Any idea how? They aren't available as a replacement part.

Zebedee,
If you check this thread out here:-
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... 78c8c7da77 " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
.....at the bottom Ben suggests to use JB weld on the plugs, give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Good luck.
Mark.

Cheers.
I only need one though.
It appears on the vagcat site as part number 043101118 so maybe they are still available from VW?
I might give JB weld a go and see what happens if VW don't have them.

Just measure your hole and buy one - they are only £1 or so each. Easily fitted, place in hole and tap hard once with a drift. Strange people the yanks - they have the engine out yet instead of replacing the core plugs they slap something over it!
