Water Leak!

Post by rob356 »

HI just came back from shopping around town and noticed water leaking from under the engine.

I have an early 1.9 dg. The leak seems to be in the centre, fairly low down - water is dripping off the oil filter - does anyone have any ideas where this might be coming from? or how terminal it could be?

There still seems to be plenty of water in the expansion tank - but i'm sure i've lost a couple of pints.

andy advice greatly appreciated.

Is the water pooling on top of the engine?

If so, sounds like its squirted out from the coolant tank (the top one). Is the tank pressurised?

That ranges from mild-overheating, air block in the system, or head gasket going going gone.
One T25 in London, another one in Sydney.

Hi Purplechugster

There is no pooling on top of the engine and coolant tank looks fine.

I checked oil and that is clean/not frothy which i guess is a good sign?
