Guess the price of this Syncro?

Post by jed the spread »

Saw this van at a show yesterday and I took a couple of pictures.

Its a early RHD 1.9 petrol caravelle with early exhaust (not with the bits on so the back box sits higher) and average interior in blue. It has a new starter fitted two days ago and and interesting water leak apparently linked to it but would be easy to fiX by all accounts :?

Here are some pictures in the usual problem areas to get a feel of it,

What do you think the asking price was for it? (Jake and Dave are not allowed to comment)

i know, i know, i know :D

but those that do, have to not say until later when a few more people have guessed. Apparently `its only one of 7 rhd caravelle and because of this very rare` quoted by the seller.

And apparently, Jed, Jake and myself know nothing about what it is, another quote from seller

What currency does he deal in?

If he's bonkers, then I'm going to say 17 Camels (based on £600 for a youngin)

I wonder how much he had paid for it

Well, yesterday it was up for sale for the grand price of £10,000.00 Jake, Dave and I where looking round it when Dave spotted the owner (who had it taken to the show on a flat bed for some reason) scribbling out the details and price. We all had a little gentleman's bet between us on how much we thought it would be, my guess being £3800 tops as it was at a show. I know everyone likes to talk amount themselves on things being expensive, horrible color, or what ever but we genuinely just cracked up laughing as it was so funny when the sign went in. I think the owner must have clocked us and he flew out of the van and shouted over, "you dont know what this is, one of seven ever made" :rofl

It was really funny, but I wished him luck with the sale and went back to the van for a cup of tea and wondered where the figure of 10k was plucked from
