auxillary water pump

Post by dazzerT251900td »

Hello there

Just checking my auxillary water pump and I dont think its working. I put the ignition on and took the connector off water temperature sensor on my JX Turbo. And I tried putting a paper clip across the connector I took off and the water pump does not kick in. I noticed the wires going on to a relay in electrical box in the engine bay. Could it be the relay where four wires go on to or could i have it wrong with a paper clip bypassing the water temperature sensor. Am I missing something? There is no power at the water sensor connector that i took off. I have tried this with a multimeter and there is no 12v power.

I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this. How would i know if there is power to the auxilliary pump for the turbo.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your time in answering.

heres the wiring diagram, take 12volts straight to the red wire going to it and see if it works. if not then check fuse in box on left hand side of engine bay (does the glow plugs too), also a relay in there that works it.
