London O2

Post by johncccc »

I am going to a concert at the O2 soon (Roger Walters :) ) does anybody know of anywhere i could park up overnight fairly near to Greenwich? We would be off back to Bristol first thing in the morning. I have checked the campsite at Crystal Palace but it is full. Any suggestions would be usefull. Thanks.

I don't know about the legality of overnight camping there, but I'd be looking on the Blackheath side of Greenwich Park. Have a look on Streetview - Charlton Way is the southern border of the park, and used heavily for parking by park visitors.

There's another caravan club site at Abbey Wood if the Crystal Palace one is full.

Probably better off finding a quiet side road and shutting the curtains. Especially if your only sleeping in it

There's one up the a12, north of the river on the north circular. lee valley camping and caravanning, said to be closest to central london but I'm not sure its not going to be too far (1/2 hour drive).

good luck!
