Lights going crazy!

Post by BETTYBRICK »

can anyone help...

main beams have stopped working....sidelights work fine as normal but when put main beams on the indicators (at front only) come on solid instead...have checked fuses, contacts and bulbs and all fine. The full beam light on the dash also stays on when i switch the headlights on main beam.

Weirdness with lights doing stuff they shouldn't, is nearly always down to a poor earth connections so all you have to do is determine which earth point services these particular lights and then strip/clean or replace earth points/etc to make good.

behind the fuse box.

pull each and ever earth off , clean and remove the earth crown - screw in the center
clean body and earth mount

leaking windscreen can cause bad corrosion

refit covering connections with grease
