LPG Conversion

Post by andyspanners.21 »

Hi I,m new to the club, have just purchased a 1983 Pop top 1.9 waterboxer thats been standing 20 yrs and I have 2 questions

1. What make of camper conversion is it? Stupid question I know but the previous owner did'nt know and it,s not marked anywhere. It has a full length roof that pivots on the Right side gutter, The roof has cushions at both ends and is held up with 2 gas struts. When I work out how I will put some photos on here.

2. More technical this one .... Has anyone fitted an LPG conversion, If so where did you locate the tank? What brand of conversion do people recomend? I'm a resonably competant Ex-Mechanic so intend to do the conversion myself, are there any major pitfalls

hello and welcome
Gasure UK, is the fitter I recommend he (Steve) is one of the founders of this club.
I and others have had LPG conversions from Gasure for many, many years with good after care and trouble free usage.

Register with photobucket and upload your pictures to them. just follow the on screen instructions
They will give your picture an [img] code so you can copy it.
Then paste it in the forum reply box.

Thanks for that, I found a picture of an LPG tank mounted under the seat I think that will be favorite for mine.
