Hi Nick,
just out of interest....was was the fault that led you to changing the oil cooler and seals?
I don't have any dials for oil temperature...I assume that it is aftermarket?
Does the van do something inparticular with this problem??
Becoming more parnaoid each and every day!!!

Emma - if you can hold the dipstick without leaving a permanent impression on your hands, then it's not overheating...
The oil cooler leaking can look like the push rod seals, it's when you change them and there's no difference that you know it's likely to be coming from above, from the oil cooler

Hi Emma, my mechanic is still working on the van and says it's a **** of a job. We did pushrod seals a few weeks ago and stopped most of oil leaks but found oil cooler leaking,if you look at your oil filter you will see the cooler near it oblong finned box thing. As you know the trailer we tow we need to keep as much oil in the engine as possible!! Hope you're all ok. Nick.
